3 Things You Need For A Successful Newsletter

Starting a newsletter business is a great way to make money and share what you know with others.

But to make it work, there are three big things you need to focus on: getting readers, finding a place to send your emails from, and writing good content. Let’s go through each one step by step.

Getting Readers for Your Newsletter

Your newsletter won’t go anywhere if no one reads it. That’s why the first step is to figure out where your readers are online.

Are they watching videos on YouTube? Engaging on LinkedIn? Hanging out in Facebook groups? Or maybe they like reading articles on Medium?

Once you know where they are, you can go there and start sharing helpful stuff to catch their attention.

For example, on YouTube, you can make short videos with tips about your topic. On LinkedIn, you can jump into the comments. If you’re on Facebook, join a group where people are talking about your topic and share your advice.

  • Make an offer: This doesn't have to be every newsletter, but don't be scared to ask your subscribers to do business with you.

For example, if your newsletter is about healthy cooking, you could share easy recipes or tips for saving time in the kitchen. Add your own stories about how you use these tips in your life to make it more relatable.
